The Hartford Matadors started the Division Series in style, downing the visiting Little Rock Governors at Ballpark of Tacoma by a score of 11-4 to grab an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Matadors second baseman Brad MacNeil went 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, the Matadors grabbed the lead when Brian Roseman rapped a two-out home run. Hartford was trailing 2-1, when Roseman hit a grand slam home run off Matt Rector to put his team in front, 5-2.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Hartford manager Jesse Heugly.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ballpark of Tacoma in Hartford.
