Riding the 2-hit performance of right fielder Jason Finch, the Saint Pierre and Miquelon Pirates stopped the visiting Buffalo Bellflowers, 9-7, in Game 2 of the League Championship Series. Finch was 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Pirates, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 0.

Izzy Leyva, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2019 draft, chipped in a 2-run home run for Saint Pierre and Miquelon in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 2 runs batted in.

"There was a kid in the stands with a sign that said 'Saint Pierre and Miquelon Pirates (probably) 2021 World Series Champions'," Finch told reporters after the game. "I told him, 'Premature, but I like the confidence.'"
