Blue Jays Hammered by Martz, Drop Game 3 to Desperados

The Santa Rosa Desperados have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading St. Catharines Blue Jays, winning, 6-5, at Keelhaulers Ballpark. Desperados catcher Bill Martz was 2-4 with 2 home runs. The win cuts the deficit facing the Desperados to 2-1 in the best-of-7 Division Series.
In the bottom of the fifth, Santa Rosa left fielder Mike Gallant had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Gallant stroked a 2-run single to right. It made the score 5-3, Santa Rosa. For the game, he went 1 for 4, while adding 2 RBI.
"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Gallant.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Keelhaulers Ballpark in Santa Rosa.
