Division Series Game 1 Goes to St. Catharines, Thanks to Paiva
The St. Catharines Blue Jays started the Division Series in style, downing the visiting Newark Flyers at Engineers Ballpark by a score of 9-3 to grab an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Blue Jays shortstop Sam Paiva was 1-1 with a double and 2 walks, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once.

Hector Nunez hit a bases-clearing double off Kyle Sandor in the bottom of the first, which put the Blue Jays in front, 3-0. In addition to the double, Nunez had 2 singles, while going 3 for 4.

"We're happy," Nunez told reporters after the win. "When you're in the playoffs, you've got to treat every game like it could be your last."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Engineers Ballpark in St. Catharines.
