Road Win Lifts San Antonio to 1-0 Lead in DS
The San Antonio Stallions started the Division Series in style, winning on the road against the Newark Flyers at Newark Fields by a score of 7-4 to take an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Stallions second baseman Matt Donald excelled. He went 3-5 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

San Antonio used the timely hitting of Mike Fowler to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Stallions on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Fowler.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Newark Fields in Newark.
