Hex Take Tight Tangle
The Providence Hex faced a tenacious opponent in Aurora pitcher Josh Pitts, but still scratched out a win at Ballpark of Providence by a final score of 4-3 in 10 innings. Pitts went 6.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. D.J. Nelson picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 2-7. Tyler Reynolds suffered the loss. After today's action, Providence sits at 39-34; Aurora slips to 31-42.

Pete DiBiaso played the role of hero for Providence. In the bottom of the tenth, he launched a solo home run off Tyler Reynolds to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was the decisive blow.

"This wasn't a good win," said DiBiaso. "It was a great win."
