Riding the 3-hit performance of third baseman Ross Myer, the Santa Rosa Desperados got a road win against the Glace Bay Miners, 9-2, in Game 3 of the Division Series. Myer belted 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Desperados, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 3 games to 0.

Santa Rosa used the hitting of Greg Biever to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Desperados on top, 3-2. For the game, Biever had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"We took a roundhouse punch to the chin," said losing manager Angel Cano.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Miners Memorial Bowl in Glace Bay.
