Almost There: London On Cusp of DS Triumph After 4-3 Win
The London Tigers moved to within one game of the League Championship Series, downing the visiting Augusta Capitols at Ballpark of Oklahoma City by a score of 4-3. Tigers left-hander Jorge Salazar had a strong outing in which he threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball. The win gives the Tigers a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 Division Series.

Had Tim Reed not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Reed hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Tigers.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said London manager Jose Torres. "It's usually not just one thing."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ballpark of Oklahoma City in London.
