Waco got a strong outing from Matt Toren as the Warlocks defeated the Ottawa Lynx, 6-2, at Rivermen Ballpark. Waco now sits at 33-39, while Ottawa falls to 49-23.

The game was at a stalemate until second baseman Chris Shelton came to bat in the top of the eighth. Facing Ottawa pitcher Marcos Vasquez, he hit a first pitch fastball for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Waco on top, 4-2.
