Black Aces Knock Off Golden Gophers at Santa Ana Stadium

Santa Ana got a strong outing from Justin Hesley as the Black Aces defeated the Little Rock Golden Gophers, 4-1, at Santa Ana Stadium. Hesley got the win, improving to 2-0. He gave up 7 hits and walked 3 over 5.1 innings. He allowed 1 run. Ryan Martin locked down his 2nd save.
The Black Aces got an important contribution from second baseman Charlie Longo, who in the bottom of the fifth knocked a 1-0 sinker to right-center for a 2-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Black Aces ahead, 4-0.
"It's a good day to be a fan after a win like that," Hesley told the Santa Ana Daily News.
Santa Ana, at 35-15, occupies first place in the Sub League 1 Central Division.
