Riding the 3-hit performance of third baseman Jared Smith, the Sonoma Scorpions got a road win against the Hamilton Bulldogs, 7-2, in Game 4 of the Division Series. Smith went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Scorpions, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 3 games to 1.

Sonoma used a clutch at-bat from Nate Galloway to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Scorpions ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We lost," Hamilton manager Armando Cisneros said later. "We'll deal with it. The series isn't over."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Mariachis Ballpark in Hamilton.
