Golden Gophers Handle Santa Ana, Snag 4-2 Win
|
The Little Rock Golden Gophers topped the Santa Ana Black Aces, 4-2, in Sub League 1 action at Santa Ana Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Little Rock pitcher Adam Hazen. Gregg Daugherty notched his 12th save of the season. The Sub League 1 West Division-leading Golden Gophers are 36-12.
The Golden Gophers had to work out of trouble in the bottom of the ninth. The score was 4-2, Little Rock, with one out. Santa Ana, with a runner on 1st, was mounting a threat. Frank Babb dug in at the plate, but on a 2-0 fastball, he hit into a double play.
