Almost There: Moriarty On Cusp of DS Triumph After 6-4 Win
Despite a great performance by Terra Linda designated hitter Brian Evans, the Moriarty Suns defeated the Chargers by the score of 6-4 at Super Solarplex. Evans went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2, but he could not prevent the Suns from moving one game closer to the League Championship Series. Moriarty now leads the Division Series 3-1.

Dean Hostetler came through for Moriarty when he hit a 3-run home run in the bottom of the fourth. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a two-strike fastball to left field, staking his team to a 4-1 lead.

"We're one game closer to our goal," Moriarty manager Ron Kunkleman said later. "It isn't any more complicated than that."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Super Solarplex in Moriarty.
