Riverside Breaks Through for First Win in League Championship Series; Now Trails 2-1
Already down in the League Championship Series, the Riverside Wolverines put on their best show, beating the Ft. Wayne Earthquakes by a final score of 3-1. Kevin Menichini was special. He threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. Riverside now trails Ft. Wayne 2-1 in the best-of-7 affair.

Riverside got a knockout punch from Dan Cochran. The catcher hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"There's nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win," Cochran said.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Wolverines Ballpark in Riverside.
