Medford and Waco got after it at Ballpark of Medford.

Medford starter Josh Poehlein throttled the Waco offense, as the Desperados won in a rout, 11-0. Poehlein, now 2-2, was the winner. In 8.2 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 4, walking 4, and allowing no runs.

Medford third baseman Lamar Bridges contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 65th hit of the season and put the Desperados ahead, 2-0.

"I was just trying to execute one pitch at a time," said Poehlein.

At 43-20, the Desperados claim second place in the Sub League 1 East Division.
