Greensboro center fielder Latrell Poff helped his team beat the Julian Jammers, 10-4. Poff, who is tied for 5th in the SL1 in triples with 3, went 4 for 5 for the Naturals. Greensboro reliever Bobby Rodriguez was the winner. His record is now 3-4. John McClements took the loss. The victory puts Greensboro at 22-40.

Greensboro used the clutch hitting of Jim Unknown to snag the win. The designated hitter drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Naturals ahead, 9-4. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

"We maximized our offense today," said Greensboro skipper Nick Kendrick. "That makes everyone's life easier."
