The fans in Michigan State are delirious, while there is little joy to be found in Louisville.

The Michigan State Spartans finished off the Louisville Cardinals 11-0 in the deciding game of the Elite 8 played at Drayton McLane Baseball Stadium at John H. Kobs Field.

They took the series 2-1 and will now head to the Final 4.

For his standout play, Michigan State second baseman Justin Morgan was voted the series' Most Valuable Player.

He batted .400, drove in 10 runs and scored 5 to lead his club to victory.

"We could never really figure out how to pitch to Morgan and that doomed us," said Cardinals manager Colin Thompson. "Hats off to Michigan State, though. That was a great series."

The Michigan State Spartans don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Purdue Boilermakers - Penn State Nittany Lions series. That series is tied at 1 game each. The Final 4 schedule will be announced after the Elite 8 finishes.
