Bearcats Cruise to Elite 8 with Sweep
With a 18-2 victory at UC Baseball Stadium, the Cincinnati Bearcats have completed a sweep of the Iowa State Cyclones in the Sweet 16.

"On to the Elite 8 and feeling good," said Mark Torres. "I don't think our guys expected a sweep, but we'll certainly take it and rest up a bit."

For the series, Torres hit .571 and won series MVP honors. He had 3 home runs, drove in 10 RBI and scored 5 runs.

The Cincinnati Bearcats don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Florida Gators - Oklahoma Sooners series. That series is tied at 1 game each. The Elite 8 schedule will be announced after the Sweet 16 finishes.
