The Little Rock Golden Gophers extended their winning streak.

Riding the 2-hit performance of the 22-year old first baseman Bobby Barnes, the Little Rock Golden Gophers stopped the Waco Warlocks, 7-1, in 9 innings. Bill Thompson was the winner in relief. His record is now 6-0. The losing pitcher was Dan Tettemer.

Chris Pinson had a big 3-run home run for the Golden Gophers in the bottom of the second inning. With Little Rock trailing 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a sinker from 21-year old left-handed pitcher Dan Tettemer and punished it. The result was his 9th home run of the season, which put the Golden Gophers on top, 3-1.

"We had a nice day," said Little Rock skipper Jose Moreno.

The Golden Gophers boast a remarkable 48-11 record.
