Warlocks Get Hard-Earned Win
|
Waco beat St. Joseph at Warlocks Grounds, eking out a 4-3 win. The win was due in large part to third baseman Arturo Farias. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Alex Gonzales earned the save for Waco, his 5th of the year. With the win over St. Joseph, the Warlocks improved to 27-30.
Jay Brown aided the Waco cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the left fielder went 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk.
"If you chase it, you need to get it," said Waco skipper Mike Schwartz.
