Wet weather did not postpone the Little Rock-Tacoma ballgame.

Micah Squires powered the Little Rock Golden Gophers to a win over the Tacoma Thunder Wolves. The final score was 8-5. The Little Rock center fielder, who is tied for 9th in the SL1 in triples with 2, was a force to be reckoned with. He banged out 3 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 2 doubles. Reliever Marcos Patino picked up the win. His record improves to 3-0. Robby Rush took the loss.

Little Rock took control in the top of the seventh. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Chris Benedict hit a run-scoring single to make it 6-5, Golden Gophers.

"We're in a little funk right now and we've just got to get ourselves out of it," said Tacoma manager Alfonso Estrada.

The first-place Golden Gophers hiked their record to 45-11.
