Ottawa designated hitter Justin Johnson had 3 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Providence Hex, 5-3. Ottawa reliever Jose Baca picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Juan Contreras took the loss. Zach Heller finished to wrap up his 5th save.
Johnson contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Ottawa in the top of the fourth. With his team trailing 2-1, Johnson took a splitter from Juan Contreras and stroked the home run to right. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Lynx to leap in front, 4-2.
Johnson called the win "a collective effort."
