Unicorns Earn Win with Late Rally
|
Pete DiBiaso did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Providence Hex from being beaten, 4-3, to the Newport Unicorns at Chanticleers Ballpark. DiBiaso went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Newport reliever Danny Guerrero was the winner. His record is now 2-1. Davis Novoa took the loss. The Unicorns improved their record to 18-35 with the win over Providence.
Newport took a 4-3 lead on Santiago Ytuarte's 3rd double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Ytuarte hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Providence pitcher Davis Novoa visibly frustrated.
"Come up with some new questions," snapped losing manager Dave Hale to reporters, "and I'll come up with some new answers."
