Tinoco Propels Bats to 12-5 Win
The Whitby Bats trumped the Borrego Springs Rams, 12-5, at Eláguila Stadia. Whitby center fielder Arturo Tinoco was terrific. He went 3-5 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 5. Darryl Snipes notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 5 hits in 4.2 innings. His record now sits at 6-2. The Bats have a winning streak of 7 games.

Todd Gordon cracked a home run off Mike Giacalone in the bottom of the third. His 2-run blast put the Bats on top, 3-2. In all, Gordon had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.
