The Buffalo Bellflowers beat the Whitby Bats, 4-1. Buffalo pitcher and Memphis, Tennessee, native Dave Figley led the way. Figley, the winner, moves to 7-2. He threw 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 2 walks. Jeff Cox earned his 4th save in 8 chances.
Fabian Hartnett had a direct impact on the outcome. Hartnett contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put Buffalo up, 3-0.
