Rafael Farrand had a good game, but he could not keep the Moncton Mounties from falling, 6-2, to the Franklin Cubs at Franklin Park. The Moncton center fielder went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs in the loss. Franklin pitcher Danny Orfila got the win. He's now 7-9. Eduardo Garcia was tagged with the loss. The Cubs, at 60-73, sit in 5th place in the Northern Conference East Division.

With Franklin leading 3-2 in the bottom of the sixth, Brian Beason hit a 2-run single off Moncton pitcher Matt Schmidt. It put the Cubs ahead 5-2.
