Princes Squelch Bats Offense in Shutout Win
The Lincoln Princes knocked off the Whitby Bats, 3-0, in Northern Conference action at Lincoln Grounds. Lincoln pitcher and Carúpano, Venezuela, native Juan Rincon had an outstanding performance. Rincon got the win, improving to 2-3. He gave up 4 hits and walked 0 over 5.2 innings. He allowed no runs. The win has Lincoln at 48-86.

The Princes had to work out of trouble in the top of the ninth. The score was 3-0, Lincoln, with one out. Whitby, with runners on 1st and 2nd, was mounting a threat. Justin Cole dug in at the plate, but on a 1-1 fastball, he grounded out.
