Rodriguez Excels, But Archers Win
The Abingdon Archers and Plymouth Rockers obliged fans looking for a good time.

Julio Rodriguez did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Plymouth Rockers from being beaten, 6-5, to the Abingdon Archers at Reagor Dykes Stadium. Rodriguez hit 3 home runs. The win went to Caleb Jordan in relief, making him now 4-2. Jim Unknown took the loss for Plymouth. Jim Unknown locked down his 1st save.

Abingdon took the lead, 4-3, on Casey Bates's 4th home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Plymouth pitcher Jim Unknown in the bottom of the seventh.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Plymouth manager John Lunceford. "The effort was great."

The win puts Abingdon at 41-93.
