Sanchez Helps Whitby Cruise to 11-3 Win
Whitby shortstop Tony Sanchez made his presence felt in the 11-3 Bats triumph over the Lincoln Princes. Sanchez was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5. The winning pitcher was 20-year old right-handed pitcher Keith Price. He tossed 81 pitches over 5.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits. With the win, Whitby pushed its record to 86-46.

With Whitby leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Sanchez hit a curveball from Luis Ontiveras for a 2-run home run. It was his 43rd home run of the season and put the Bats ahead, 3-0.

"It feels good to get this one," Sanchez told the Whitby Bulletin.
