The home crowd had a good time watching the Franklin Cubs and Plymouth Rockers get after it.

The Plymouth Rockers topped the Franklin Cubs, 6-2, in Northern Conference action at Madison Grounds. The game was highlighted by the performance of Plymouth shortstop Jayden Browne. Jim Unknown got the win, improving to 1-0. He worked 8 innings, giving up 2 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 4.

Browne had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 2-2 cutter from Robert Hendricks, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Rockers a 5-2 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Browne.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Browne told the Plymouth Today. "It's as simple as that."

The win has Plymouth at 52-77.
