Bellflowers Lose By a Run at Long Island
In a tight tilt between the Long Island Torpedoes and the Buffalo Bellflowers, Mario Santana was the deciding factor. The Long Island left-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. Long Island is now 47-84.

The Torpedoes got a big at-bat from right fielder Todd Stevens. For the game, Stevens went 3-4 with a home run, a triple, and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 3rd double of the season gave Long Island a 2-1 lead.

"I just tried to focus on getting that first guy out every inning," said Santana.
