Torpedoes Walk It Off for 46th Win of Season
Earl Leason helped his team muscle past the Franklin Cubs, 8-7. In the game, the Long Island shortstop hit 3 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored three times. Long Island reliever Jesus Perez picked up the win, upping his record to 8-11. Doug Voeller took the loss. The Torpedoes sport a record of 46-74.

Long Island got a clutch hit from Mike Sheets. The pinch hitter launched a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a kill shot.

"That was a lot of fun, watching both teams compete," said Torpedoes manager Victor Sepulveda.
