Bellflowers Deal Colonels 4-0 Loss
|
Buffalo turned a good effort from starter Keith Carter into a win over the Tiverton Colonels at Field of the Colonels. The Bellflowers won the game, 4-0. Joe Petersen got credit for the save for Buffalo. It was his 1st of the year. Buffalo is now 70-51.
Buffalo used the clutch hitting of Josh Murphy to snag the win. The left fielder drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Bellflowers ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Buffalo manager Andy Perez.
