Behind an impressive start by Greg Forness, Moncton beat Long Island, 5-2. Marco Canas nailed down the save. Moncton has run its win streak to 5 consecutive.

Nick Riddle had a big 2-run double for the Mounties in the bottom of the second inning. With Moncton leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a fastball from 20-year old right-handed pitcher Raul Sauceda and swatted a double to right. It was his 6th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Mounties ahead, 3-0.

"It's so much easier when you throw good pitches," said Forness.
