Eric Mohr pitched well, but the Franklin Cubs still lost the game, falling, 4-2, to the Moncton Mounties at Franklin Park. Tarjei Wiese picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 12-1. Eric Mohr, who is tied for 10th in the NC in quality starts with 9, was tagged with the loss. Cory Crabtree nailed down his 25th save.
Moncton used the hitting of Josh Mahan to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Mounties on top, 3-0. For the game, Mahan had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
Moncton manager Kevin Squillace called it "a darn good win."
The Mounties have now won 4 straight.
