Bacon gets 3 RBI as Cubs Squeeze Past Moncton
Franklin left fielder Josh Bacon made his presence felt in the 7-6 Cubs triumph over the Moncton Mounties. Bacon went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. The third-place Cubs improved to 68-50.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Alejandro Pena? The Franklin first baseman had a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the first inning to put the Cubs on top, 1-0. For the game, Pena had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We're trying to go out there and win games," Bacon told the Franklin Bulletin, "and we played pretty well tonight."
