The Borrego Springs Rams and Lincoln Princes played an entertaining game for Club Circle Park patrons.

The Borrego Springs Rams handed the Lincoln Princes a 5-4 defeat at Club Circle Park. Catcher Andrew Woodall starred for Borrego Springs. He went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. Josh DeYoe snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits over 3.1 innings. He's now 3-0 on the season.

The Princes had been locked in a 3-3 tie with the Rams going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 23-year old center fielder Angelo Diaz came to the plate. Diaz hit a 2-run double on a 2-2 cutter from Lincoln hurler Frank Howerton. It was Diaz's 22nd double of the year.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Lincoln manager Jorge Vasquez.

The win gives Borrego Springs a season record of 69-50.
