Rams Walk It Off for 67th Win of Season
The Borrego Springs Rams faced a tough opponent in Whitby pitcher Marty Matthews, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Club Circle Park by a final score of 6-3. Matthews went 5.1 innings and allowed no runs. The Bats, at 61-55, have lost 6 straight games.

Borrego Springs got a game-changing hit from Mike MacPherson. The shortstop blasted a grand slam home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a winner.

"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said Whitby manager David Sawyers.
