Chargers Reel Off Another Win
|
Terra Linda and Whitby duked it out and the Chargers came out victorious.
The Terra Linda Chargers beat the Whitby Bats, 4-1, at Ballpark of Plantersville. Starting pitcher Larry Weese was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. In 7 innings, Weese surrendered 2 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Ryan McEntyre earned save number 16 this season.
Adam Mathis took Whitby hurler Raul Cisneros deep in the bottom of the sixth. His 3-run home run put the Chargers on top, 4-1. In all, Mathis had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.
"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Mathis told the Terra Linda Herald.
Terra Linda has now reeled off 7 straight wins.
