Cubs Rally Late to Nip Archers
The Franklin Cubs overcame a good performance by Abingdon center fielder Luis Casanova to knock off Abingdon, 6-5, at Franklin Park. Casanova was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Franklin pitcher Jonathan Bruckert got the win, upping his record to 3-0. Caleb Jordan got the loss. The last-place Cubs have a record of 39-73.

Franklin got a knockout punch from Rich Lewis. The designated hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"This place was electric at the end," Lewis said.
