Victors Again, Moriarty Win Streak at 8

The Moriarty Suns topped the Moncton Mounties, 7-1, in Northern Conference action at Mapleton Yards. The standout performance belonged to Moriarty pitcher and Calabozo, Venezuela, native Marco Montes. The winner was Montes. He threw 5.1 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Willie Bowers. Chris Childress earned the save for Moriarty, his 2nd.
Joel Patrick broke a 0-0 tie in the top of the third with a run-scoring walk. It put the Suns in front, 1-0. For the game, Patrick went 1-2 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"I like how we're playing right now," said Patrick.
This win makes it 8 in a row for Moriarty.
