Terra Linda got a decent performance from pitcher Larry Bute, but it wasn't enough to beat the Lincoln Princes. Lincoln won the Ballpark of Plantersville contest, 5-4. Bute threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball for the losing team. Jim Unknown, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit. Earning his 1st save of the year was Jim Unknown.

Lincoln used a clutch hit from Angelo Sierra to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Princes ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

In postgame comments, Sierra said, "I think we gave the fans their money's worth."
