Both teams had their chances, but the Terra Linda Chargers eventually prevailed.

The inspired effort of Whitby right fielder Jeremy Martin was not enough to prevent a loss, 5-4, to the Terra Linda Chargers. Martin was 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Kareem Jackson locked down his 3rd save.

Terra Linda used a big swing from Raul Rodriguez to get the win. The second baseman walloped a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Chargers up, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it changed the outcome.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Whitby manager Mike Boyd.

With the win, Terra Linda has a record of 41-67. Whitby falls to 72-36.
