Long Island Rallies to 9-5 Win
The 9-5 Long Island win over Lincoln was due largely to Dan Conde. The Torpedoes pinch hitter went 1 for 1 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The win was credited to Mark Williams in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Jim Unknown took the loss. The Torpedoes improved to 40-68.

Long Island used the timely hitting of Josh Carta to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Torpedoes on top, 7-5. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"The name of the game is scoring runs," Conde said. "We did a good job of that today."
