Lincoln pitcher Sergio Espanol gave the Mounties all they could handle, but in the end, Moncton left Mapleton Yards with a win, 2-1. Espanol allowed 1 run on 5 hits over 5 innings. With the victory, the Mounties upped their record to 83-22.

A crucial at-bat came with the bases empty and no one out in the bottom of the eighth inning. That's when third baseman David Raney, who leads the NC with a .563 on-base percentage, hit a triple. The Mounties went on to win.

"We're feeling good in this clubhouse right now after that one," Raney told the Moncton Times.
