Abingdon pitcher Bobby Gang did his part in helping his team beat the Borrego Springs Rams, 2-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Jim Unknown earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 3.1 innings. His record is now 1-0. Abingdon, with the win, sits at 35-70.
Abingdon took a 2-0 lead on Jonathan Munoz's 3rd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Munoz hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Borrego Springs pitcher David Saunders visibly frustrated.
Abingdon manager Roberto Enriquez called it "a darn good win."
