Goodpaster Belts Bunch of Base Hits
No matter what the Long Island Torpedoes threw at him, Jeremy Goodpaster hit it. He easily handled Torpedoes pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Chargers triumph, 8-5, at Ballpark of Plantersville.

"The way I was swinging, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview.

Told of Goodpaster's quip, Torpedoes skipper Moises Gonzalez said he "would take him up on that next time."

Jeremy Goodpaster singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and singled in the 8th.

So far this season, Goodpaster has put up a .474 batting average with 65 hits, 6 home runs and 23 RBIs.
