Behind the hitting of Elijah Pleasant, the Moncton Mounties stopped the Whitby Bats, 7-4. Pleasant slugged 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 5 for the Mounties. Brian Gay got the win, improving to 4-5. He held the Bats to 3 runs on 3 hits over 6.1 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 0. Moncton is now 52-45.

Pleasant contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Moncton in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Pleasant took a curveball from Tommy Daniello and stroked the home run to left. His 14th home run of the season allowed the Mounties to leap in front, 3-1.

"Baseball is about momentum," said Pleasant, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
