The Terra Linda Chargers got a magnificent performance from pitcher Randy Fischer, who stifled the Moriarty offense en route to a 2-1 Chargers win at Ballpark of Plantersville. The winning pitcher was Fischer, now 3-1. He tossed 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 8. Rich Hepler earned the save, his 5th.
Mike Sligar had a critical at-bat with two out in the bottom of the sixth for Terra Linda. He came through with a run-scoring single to put Terra Linda in front, 2-0.
"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Sligar.
The first-place Chargers have a one-game lead in their division.
