Russell Homers Twice in 15-7 Pirates Win
The Saint Pierre and Miquelon Pirates defeated the Lincoln Princes, 15-7, in part because of shortstop John Russell. Russell belted 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 3 for the Pirates. Saint Pierre and Miquelon reliever Hisaaki Kanai got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Jose Miranda was tagged with the loss. Saint Pierre and Miquelon sits in 4th place in the Northern Conference West Division at 45-53.

Adrian McCoy cracked a home run off Jose Miranda in the top of the first. His grand slam blast put the Pirates on top, 4-0. In all, McCoy had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 6.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Pirates manager Bryan Crockett. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
