Bellflowers Score Late to Beat Rockers, 4-3
|
The Buffalo Bellflowers faced a tough opponent in Plymouth pitcher Jim Unknown, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Madison Grounds by a final score of 4-3. Unknown went 7.2 innings and allowed 3 runs. The winning streak has now reached 5 games for the Bellflowers.
Buffalo used a clutch hit from Justin Wardlaw to snatch the win. The catcher belted a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Bellflowers ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit, but it was huge.
"We're playing like we're capable of," said Buffalo manager Andy Perez.
