The Whitby Bats bested the Long Island Torpedoes, 5-4, at Eláguila Stadia. Brett Cortright was one of the standouts. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a triple. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Chris Johnson got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. Whitby now sits in second place in the Northern Conference West Division at 62-33.
